Living in a house!

So much has been going on! Jan came for 5 days to help us transition from the apartment to the house and although she didn't feel like she helped; she did tremendously. She basically packed up the entire apartment and kept the kids for us the whole time. Gill and I just unloaded what she'd packed and loaded back up more stuff she packed. We all spent one night here at the house and her bed fell to the floor. Thank you Jan for being so flexible . We could NOT have done it without you. So now we are in the house and I am trying to unpack and find places for everything while trying to entertain my kids with no television. William wants to go out ALL the time but we don't have the fence up yet. My neighbors have been great. Marlie went to a friends one afternoon while William slept and I was able to get lots done. I seem to be blessed with 3 especially helpful neighbors.

We still don't have a fridge or a washer or dryer but all that should be here Saturday. Needless to say, I'll be washing clothes all weekend! We have had a tiny fridge that Gill will take to the plant plus a cooler so we've been camping in a way. I cooked tonight for the first time since we moved in. Man, how nice to have my pots and pans again! Thank you Towncraft. My decorator came today (he goes to our church) and really helped me a lot but we have LOTS to do!

Jan, I know what you're thinking....that's how I arranged it! Ok , ok I admit you were right. I really like the layout and I think we'll be able to put the tv in the built in instead of over the fireplace. Yeah! Desperate times call for desperate measures..After a big rainstorm I decided to let the kids play in the mud (what was I thinking with no washing machine?!)Pam, the towel moves to a second generation! Marlie having a mud moment.
Or two.

Ahhhh, finally tv is hooked up. Mom can again take a quick shower!
